WINNIPEG - Manitoba will decide on its own when to lift COVID-19 restrictions.
Dr. Jazz Atwal, the province's deputy chief public officer of health, says they will not rush to follow other provinces like Alberta and Saskatchewan which are removing proof of vaccination and mask mandates.
While hospitalization and ICU numbers are dropping, Atwal says they are still well above pre-pandemic levels.
When current COVID restrictions are eased further, Atwal predicts capacity limits would likely be raised before other rules are loosened.
