States Of Emergency Continue

WINNIPEG - States of emergency continue is almost 20 communities across southern Manitoba.

A number of them have residents who have been evacuated due to floodwaters but one of the hardest hit areas is Peguis First Nation about 150 kilometres north of Winnipeg.

Ice jams on the Fisher River forced water levels so high that about 1,100 people have been evacuated from their homes.

Chief Glen Hudson says they need a long-term solution to their flooding issues.
