Manitoba Public Insurance Strike Ends

WINNIPEG - The strike at Manitoba Public Insurance is over after more than two months.

Some 1,700 workers, members of the Manitoba Government and General Employees’ Union, have voted to accept a new four year contract which includes 13 per cent more pay over four years.

The walkout began in late August.

All service and claim centres will reopen Friday afternoon.
