NDP Does Not Like P3 Schools

WINNIPEG - The Stefanson government says its new schools built through private partnerships can be done without problems seen in some other provinces but critics are not convinced.

Government Services Minister James Teitsma says signing deals with private developers to build and maintain the schools for 30 years will cost the same or less in the long run.

He also says the system will see schools built more quickly.

The Opposition New Democrats say Manitobans could pay more over time and have less control over the schools.
