WINNIPEG - Manitoba RCMP say they have a substance that's believed to be linked to six overdose hospitalizations in The Pas on the weekend.
A hospital nurse in Thompson gave the Mounties a box containing seven vials of a crystal-like powder which is purple in colour.
The substance was tested and an opioid, possibly fentanyl, was present.
Police in Thompson have reported one overdose which they believed is also connected to the same drug.
A sample has been sent off for further testing.
