WINNIPEG - A Manitoba MLA has died in a car acciddent near Thompson.
Danielle Adams represents that area of the province for the New Democrats.
She died yesterday at the age of 39.
NDP leader Wab Kinew says her death is heartbreaking and she will be remembered as a young, caring mother who wore her heart on her sleeve.
Adams was her party's critic for childcare, housing, disability and poverty matters after first being elected in 2019.
I'm very sad to confirm Danielle Adams, the NDP MLA for Thompson and a dedicated mother and partner, passed away this afternoon.
Danielle fought hard for a better life for families, northerners, & kids across Manitoba.
To our dear colleague and friend—we will miss you so much! pic.twitter.com/YQhrHgLAlF
