MANITOBA - RCMP say a 31-year-old man died in a single vehicle rollover in the evening of July 18th on Beach Road near Sandy Bay First Nation.
Mounties said a 39-year-old man from Sandy Bay First Nation was driving a mini-van west on Beach Road with two passengers when he lost control and rolled the vehicle. The driver sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital.
One passenger, a 31-year-old man from Sandy Bay First Nation, was ejected from the van and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other passenger, a 31-year-old man also from Sandy Bay First Nation, sustained minor injuries.
RCMP said alcohol and speed were factors in the collision and that nobody inside the vehicle was wearing a seatbelt.
