WINNIPEG - Rapid testing could play a bigger role in Manitoba's COVID-19 plan.
Premier Heather Stefanson has asked the province's top doctor, Brent Roussin, to look at easing current rules so COVID rapid tests are more widely available to the public.
She says her government is also considering offering the tests for free which is something other provinces are doing.
Currently, rapid tests are distributed mostly to businesses and other employers.
Testing is also available at some pharmacies starting at about $40.
