Hydro Strike Continues

WINNIPEG - A union representing 2,300 Manitoba Hydro workers says its members are limiting some services after rejecting an offer from the Crown corporation last week.

The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 2034 issued a 48 hour strike notice on Wednesday and sent official notification of a walkout on Friday.

Hydro spokesperson Scott Powell says a contingency plan is in place but warns some things like restoring power after an outage could take longer than usual.
