WINNIPEG - Manitoba is getting some help with its wildfires from South Africa.
More than 100 South African firefighters will be tested for COVID-19 when they arrive before starting to battle the 143 fires currently burning in the province.
So far this summer, there have been 431 blazes in total. The average is 370.
We have also received other firefighting resources from across Canada, including over two dozen helicopters and six other aircraft.
