WINNIPEG - Manitoba is easing its flood response as water levels drop, lowering the risk of flooding.
The Hydrologic Forecast Centre says the Portage Diversion is no longer being used and the same will happen with the Red River Floodway in the next day or two.
Both were activated to deal with an increase in water and to flush out ice.
Flooding is less of a risk because temperatures are expected to stay near freezing for the next week which would delay snowmelt and runoff from this latest winter storm.
