WINNIPEG - Manitoba is expanding rapid antigen testing to workers in critical areas like schools and daycares.
The province says this will allow teachers and others to return to work more quickly.
A rapid testing program is also being implemented for asymptomatic teachers, staff and students at schools with high numbers of COVID-19.
“This expanded use of rapid antigen tests supplied by the province for critical service areas is intended to enhance access to testing for designated workers and allow them to return to work sooner,” said Families minister Rochelle Squires. “Tests will be provided for all designated staff in critical service areas who are symptomatic and work directly with clients and vulnerable populations.”
