WINNIPEG - Doctors in Manitoba say hospitals are at risk of being overwhelmed as a triple threat of respiratory viruses spreads across the province.
Dr. Candace Bradshaw, president of Doctors Manitoba, says physicians are very concerned about RSV, COVID-19 and the flu.
She says any of the trio of viruses can be serious for some people, resulting in hospitalization, intensive care or even death.
Bradshaw says people should take precautions, like getting the flu shot or a COVID vaccine booster. Wearing a mask in crowded or poorly ventilated public places is also a good idea, along with staying home when sick.
