Manitoba Expands 2nd COVID-19 Booster

Expanding 2nd Booster

WINNIPEG - Manitoba is expanding eligibility for a fourth COVID-19 shot to include individuals 70 and older and Indigenous people aged 50 and up.

The change is based on a recommendation from the National Advisory Committee on Immunization.

The province says second boosters will be offered as early as mid-April if it's been at least six months since the person's first booster shot.

Before this, another booster was limited to those who are moderately to severely immunocompromised or adults living in a First Nations community.
