WINNIPEG - The provincial government has announced funding for Manitoba bus companies hit hard when travel restrictions were brought in during the pandemic.
The $1.9 million dollar program is aimed at offsetting expenses related to resuming operations which had to be cut back after COVID-19 hit.
Details are still being worked out, with rules for applicants expected later this month.
The Manitoba Chambers of Commerce which will help distribute the money says COVID has impacted businesses across the province but especially transportation firms.
