WINNIPEG - Manitoba has added residents and staff at personal care homes on First Nations to the list of people eligible for a third dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
Health officials say this will help protect Indigenous people who have been disproportionately affected by the virus as the province enters the fourth wave.
A third dose of an mRNA vaccine was originally only planned for those who are immunocompromised due to a medical condition or treatment.
It's now expected that all personal care home residents will be getting a booster shot soon.
