WINNIPEG - At a fundraising dinner last night, Manitoba NDP Leader Wab Kinew promised to take on the problem of kids going to class hungry if his party wins the upcoming provincial election.
He said a New Democratic government would implement a universal school nutrition program.
Kinew also pledged to design a comprehensive public safety strategy to reduce youth crime.
The NDP says it will release a fully costed platform closer to the early October vote.
