WINNIPEG - Wab Kinew has been sworn in as Manitoba's premier and now he and his cabinet get to work on campaign promises.
The promises include boosting health care, temporarily suspending the fuel tax and ending chronic homelessness within eight years.
Kinew has also pledged to search the Prairie Green Landfill north of Winnipeg for the remains of two Indigenous women.
He is expected to recall the legislature in the coming weeks to elect a new Speaker and introduce bills before the holiday break.
