ICU Numbers Climbing

WINNIPEG - Intensive care patients in Manitoba are approaching record numbers.

The province's chief nursing officer, Lanette Siragusa, says people are being admitted to ICU so fast, she expected to blow past the peak of 129 patients experienced during the second wave of the pandemic last December.

Manitoba now has the most new COVID-19 infections per capita in the country, surpassing Alberta.
