Heat Wave Peaks Today

WINNIPEG - Today will be the hottest day of the current heat wave.

The high is expected somewhere in the upper 30s and forecasters are predicting a humidex in the low 40s.

Heat warnings continue for almost all the province.

Yesterday, 38 weather stations across Manitoba recorded their hottest July 2nd ever. Winnipeg fell just short of it's record.

This heat and dry conditions have combined to cause an extreme fire danger.

The heat wave began in BC and has spread right through to Ontario.
