WINNIPEG - COVID-19 has killed 1,000 Manitobans.
The death toll in the province reached that grim milestone on Wednesday, as three new deaths were reported.
According to federal figures, only Quebec has more deaths per capita.
Manitoba's first COVID death was recorded last March 26th, as the pandemic was beginning.
27 of the 1,000 deaths have been caused by the variants of concern.
