Good Year For Northern Lights

WINNIPEG - It's been a good year for the northern lights, according to Scott Young, an astronomer at the Manitoba Museum planetarium.

It has to do with the sun's activity.

Young says because the sun is more active, the northern lights are more visible here and across the country.

Something else to watch for in the sky this weekend, Mercury and Jupiter side by side in an astronomical event called a conjunction.
