A 30 year-old man from Fisher River was killed on Friday evening (Sept 14) when he was struck by a vehicle on highway 224.
The vehicle was driven by a 63 year-old woman from Fisher River who was heading northbound when she struck the man who was also walking in the northbound lane. She immediately contacted police and the man was transported to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.
Alcohol and speed are not believed to be factors in the collision.
Fisher Branch RCMP along with assistance from a Forensic Collision Reconstruction continue to investigate.
