WINNIPEG - Starting today, all Manitobans are eligible for second doses of a COVID-19 vaccine.
Johanu Botha of the Vaccine Task Force calls it a really big deal that everyone 12 and older can now book their appointment for another shot in the arm. He says the plan is to get people immunized as quickly as possible.
Youths who can only use Pfizer won't be able to book their second dose until supplies of that vaccine improve. However, a parent is allowed to transfer his or her Pfizer jab to their child.
So far, almost 72 per cent of people 12 and up have received one dose of a vaccine and nearly 31 per cent have had both doses.
To book an appointment, call 1-844-MAN-VACC (1-844-626-8222) toll-free between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. You can also book an appointment using the #ProtectMB website.
