WINNIPEG - Manitoba has announced $22 million in new COVID-19 support for about 1,800 businesses.
Businesses limited to 50 per cent capacity are eligible for as much as $12,000 depending on how many people they employ.
According to finance minister Scott Fielding, they will be able to apply online starting next week.
He says more money may be offered if current restrictions are tightened or extended beyond January 11th.
Meanwhile, Ottawa is temporarily expanding eligibility for two federal programs so wage and rent support will be available to businesses that have seen their capacity restricted by at least 50 per cent.
