WINNIPEG - Manitoba's plan to boost its minimum wage to $15 an hour by October of 2023 is coming under fire from both labour and business groups.
The province says the wage will increase from $11.95 an hour to $13.50 this October.
Then next April, it jumps again to $14.15 - before reaching $15 next October.
The Manitoba Federation of Labour says it's still not enough, while the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce says the increases will have a significant effect on small businesses.
