Craft Brewing Slowdown In Manitoba

Craft Brewing Slowdown

WINNIPEG - An official at the Manitoba Craft Brewers’ Association says his industry is facing significant cost pressures.

Tim Hudek says inflation and the war in Ukraine are driving up prices and it's harder for brewers to bring prices down because their products tend to be purer than those sold by big national brands.

Hudek says the brewing business is witnessing a slowdown, as people are squeezed financially and might not be able to afford to go out to eat at their favourite restaurants as much.
