WINNIPEG - Manitoba is revising some COVID-19 protocols at schools to keep kids in class as much as possible while also reducing transmission.
Vaccination status and consistent mask use will now be considered when determining isolation requirements for close contacts of confirmed cases.
When needed, self-isolation is being cut from two weeks to 10 days, with testing recommended at day seven.
The definition of a school outbreak has been changed to include at least three school cases within 14 days of each other.
