WINNIPEG - The Manitoba government has announced $8 million in support for the hotel and tourism sector.
Hotels and other tourism operators will get grants to help pay expenses like property taxes and mortgage interest.
Premier Brian Pallister says the industry has been hit hard by the drop in travel due to COVID-19.
The money will be administered by the Manitoba Hotel Association and the Manitoba Lodges and Outfitters Association.
