WINNIPEG - Manitoba's daily COVID-19 case count fell to just 11 yesterday, the lowest number in more than 10 months.
Dr. Brent Roussin, the province's chief public health officer, says if this continues and people keep getting vaccinated, the next phase of reopening could happen sooner than expected.
He says vaccinations are cutting the number of COVID cases and they are also easing the pressures on the health care system.
However, Roussin is also warning areas where vaccination rates are low that they could see restrictions just for them if the virus continues to spread there.
