WINNIPEG - A Manitoba man faces several charges after the seizure of millions of illegal cigarettes.
44 year old Daniel Deschamps was stopped by Ontario Provincial Police near Thunder Bay last month while allegedly smuggling more than 2.5 million smokes.
Authorities say he was then arrested again here in Winnipeg with 220,000 cigarettes.
Two search warrants found another 650,000 cigarettes.
Deschamps is also accused of failing to quarantine as required by COVID-19 public health orders.
