Changes At Deadly Intersection

WINNIPEG - The Manitoba government is promising changes now and in the future at the intersection of the Trans-Canada Highway and Highway 5, where 17 people were killed in a collision in June.

Another crash there this week sent three people to hospital.

Manitoba Infrastructure says the changes will include new warning signs, as well as refreshed pavement markings and rumble strips.

Transportation minister Doyle Piwniuk says longer-term possibilities include a reduced speed limit and traffic lights.
