Calls For Tougher Restrictions

WINNIPEG - COVID-19 numbers continue to rise in Manitoba and opposition politicians are calling on the Pallister government to impose tougher COVID-19 restrictions.

The daily case count hit 363 on Thursday. The number hasn't been that high since the second wave of the pandemic months ago.

Most of the cases are in Winnipeg where the test positivity rate has topped 10 per cent.

Health minister Heather Stefanson says they're working on a plan to address the increasing COVID numbers and she promises it will be revealed soon.
