WINNIPEG - Manitoba RCMP are reminding people not to use 911 for non-emergency calls after a Steinbach woman called the service to report a long lineup at her community’s new Burger King.
The Mounties say an unnecessary emergency call can tie up an operator who could be dealing with a real emergency on another line.
RCMP also got a 911 call recently from someone wondering where they could get a Zamboni for the weekend.
REMINDER: 911 is ONLY for emergencies

Yesterday, #rcmpmb received a 911 call from a woman in Steinbach who was angry about the long drivethru line at the new Burger King. We realize you aren’t you when you’re hangry, but this is not a valid reason to dial 911. pic.twitter.com/FBhhCzSZZi
