WINNIPEG - The Manitoba government says it will begin consultations soon on its spring budget, weeks behind the usual launch in late November or early December.
Finance Minister Cameron Friesen's office says consultations will start within a few weeks and the budget will come after the legislature returns in March.
The Opposition New Democrats say the delay is another sign of internal dysfunction for the governing Progressive Conservatives.
Premier Heather Stefanson is preparing for a cabinet shuffle after many of her members recently announced they would not be running in the fall election.
This week also saw two key members of her staff leave including her chief of staff.
