WINNIPEG - Residents of a Manitoba city are having to boil their water before consuming it.
People in Thompson must boil their water for at least a minute before drinking it.
The province announced the boil water advisory this week after finding a failure in the supply's treatment process which allowed poorly treated water to enter the distribution system.
If water can not be boiled, officials are encouraging the use of bottled water and for cooking too.
The advisory will stay in effect until further notice.
