WINNIPEG - Manitoba's justice minister says what happened at a weekend anti-mask rally was "incredibly unfortunate, dangerous and wrong."
According to Cliff Cullen, the language and vitriol experienced by enforcement officials in Steinbach is simply unacceptable.
He points out Manitobans have been warned and if they violate public health orders, action will be taken.
Tickets were issued at the protest on Saturday, including one for $1,296 to the reeve of the RM of La Broquerie who was a speaker at the event.
Steinbach's mayor and MLA are also expressing their displeasure.
All this as the city's hospital struggles to keep up with COVID-19 cases.
