WINNIPEG - Because of a nursing shortage, the emergency room in Altona is ending some of its services until at least this fall.
Starting April 1st, some ER calls will be diverted to Morden and Morris which is over half an hour away.
Some services, like lab work, wound care and other minor procedures, will continue at the town's hospital.
The Southern Health Region says residents should continue to call Health Links or 911 if it's an emergency.
