8 Deaths, 198 Cases

WINNIPEG – The province is reporting eight deaths today from COVID-19, seven of them in Winnipeg.

There are 189 new cases of the virus, including 65 in Winnipeg. The spike in the north continues with 95 new cases today.

3,081 cases are active, 23,661 people have recovered, for a total of 27,511 cases so far.

292 Manitobans are in hospital right now, 39 of them in the ICU.

The five day test positivity rate in the province is 10.4 per cent. Winnipeg’s rate is 7.2. 2,054 tests were done in the last 24 hours for a total of 452,157 since the pandemic began.

The death toll now sits at 769.
