WINNIPEG - The province issued 87 warnings and 59 tickets last week for COVID-19 violations.
46 of the tickets were for $1,296 and went to individuals, mostly in relation to gatherings. 11 were for $298 for failing to wear a mask. And two businesses were fined $5,000 each.
Enforcement officials say they continue to investigate large gatherings. Six tickets of $1,296 for given because of rallies.
Since enforcement efforts began in April of 2020, a total of 4,910 warnings and 1,979 tickets have been issued, resulting in more than $2.6 million in fines.
