WINNIPEG - Two Conservative MLAs say their government's new COVID-19 public health orders go too far.
James Teitsma and Josh Guenter say that requiring Manitobans to show proof of full vaccination is a human rights violation which creates two classes of people.
Starting next Friday, only people with two shots of a COVID vaccine will be allowed in a number of venues, including restaurants, bars and movie theatres.
Teitsma even compares the new restrictions to residential schools, forced sterilization and internment camps.
In a letter to Premier Brian Pallister, Guenter calls the vaccine mandate for some provincial workers a sledgehammer that won't work in his riding in southeastern Manitoba.
