15 Dead In Trans-Canada Crash

WINNIPEG - The Mounties are investigating after a crash on Thursday near Carberry, Manitoba that killed 15 people. 10 others were taken to hospital with various injuries.

A bus collided with a semi-truck at the Trans-Canada and Highway 5 just before noon. Many of the people on the bus were seniors.

RCMP superintendent Rob Lasson says the bus was carrying 25 people from Dauphin and area.

Kim Armstrong, administrator at the Dauphin Active Living Centre, says the bus departed from there early Thursday and was on its way to the Sand Hills Casino.
