1 Death, 91 Cases

WINNIPEG - The province is reporting one death today from COVID-19, a woman in her 60's in the south.

There are 91 new cases of the virus, including 33 in Winnipeg and 42 in the north.

There are 11 new cases of the UK variant today and one of the South African variant. That brings the total number of variants of concern in Manitoba to 76.

1,089 cases are active, 31,078 people have recovered, for a total of 33,085 cases so far.

146 Manitobans are in hospital right now, 23 of them in the ICU.

The five day test positivity rate in the province is 4.7 per cent. Winnipeg's rate is 3.6. 2,473 tests were done in the last 24 hours for a total of 557,277 since the pandemic began.

The death toll now sits at 918.
