WINNIPEG - The province is reporting one new deaths today from COVID-19, a man in his 70s in the Southern Health Region.
There are 36 new cases of the virus today, including 24 in Winnipeg.
972 cases are active, 54,392 people have recovered, for a total of 56,516 cases so far.
149 people are in hospital, including 36 in intensive care. Six are in ICUs in Ontario.
The five day test positivity rate in the province is 5.9 per cent. Winnipeg's rate is 5.7. 989 tests were done in the last 24 hours for a total of 837,996 since the pandemic began.
The death toll now sits at 1,152.
