1 Death, 210 Cases

WINNIPEG - The province is reporting one new deaths today from COVID-19, a woman in her 60's in Winnipeg who contracted the UK variant.

There are 210 new cases of the virus today, including 157 in Winnipeg.

Cases of variants of concern total 1,309 in Manitoba, with 558 of them active. Three people have been killed by the variants.

2,093 cases are active, 34,747 people have recovered, for a total of 37,808 cases so far.

148 Manitobans are in hospital right now, 37 of them in the ICU.

The five day test positivity rate in the province is 7.6 per cent. Winnipeg's rate is 8.2. 2,784 tests were done in the last 24 hours for a total of 646,981 since the pandemic began.

The death toll now sits at 968.
