MFMHL Player of the Week

The MFMHL is pleased to announce that Central Plains Capitals forward Halle Edwards has been selected as the CCM-Selkirk Source for Sports Player of the Week for week 6 ending Nov. 4.

Edwards, a grade 12 student from Starbuck, had 3 points on the week to go along with 2 shootout goals. Edwards had 2 goals and an assist vs. Yellowhead in regulation time on Nov. 3 before scoring the only goal in the Shootout to secure a 5-4 win for the Capitals.

Then on Nov. 4 Edwards notched the deciding shootout goal in the Capitals 4-3 win over the Westman Wildcats in Hartney to help the Capitals take 4 points from their western swing. Edwards current leads the Capitals in over all scoring with 9 goals and 11 assists in 17 games.

Edwards has committed to attend school and continue her hockey career at the University of Manitoba and will suit up for the 2018 USport National Champion Bisons starting in the fall of 2019.
