Moose Win on the Road in Milwaukee

Sports

WINNIPEG, MB – The Manitoba Moose continue winning on this six game road trip by taking down the Milwaukee Admirals 5 – 1.

It was a tight-checking game first period with both teams having to kill off penalties early in the first. Nic Petan opened the scoring for the Moose with a breakaway goal. Petan has at least one point in the last six straight games. The Admirals had some good scoring chances, but Eric Comrie stood tall throughout the first.

The Admirals scored on Comrie at the 7:56 mark of the second period. Milwaukee got into penalty trouble, and JC Lipon scored his 10th to give Manitoba back the lead. The Admirals continued making visits to the penalty box and Sami Niku took advantage of that scoring his seventh power-play goal of the season.

The Admirals started the third in the penalty box and as that power-play ended, Brendan Lemieux added another for Manitoba. On a nice pass from Niku Brody Sutter scored another one for the Moose making it 5-1, which is how the game would end.
