MOOSE RE-SIGN FORWARDS

WINNIPEG - The Manitoba Moose have re-signed a couple of popular players. Brent Pedersen and Cole Maier, both forwards, have each signed one year deals. Pedersen, who's 24 years old, had nine points in 36 games last season, while Maier, who's also 24, collected 15 points in 59 games.

WINNIPEG - The Manitoba Moose are looking for a new captain. Defenceman Peter Stoykewych has decided to retire. The Winnipegger has played his entire career with the Moose and Winnipeg Jets organizations. Stoykewych is only 27 but because of a lingering head injury, he has decided to leave hockey.
