Teenagers Keep Brandon Police Busy

BRANDON, MB - A 15 year old boy was arrested for robbery and 17 year old girl for assault over the weekend.

Police got a call from a resident on McTavish Ave who saw a man entering a vehicle nearby and was able to give a description. Officers quickly located a male youth on 34th Street who matched the description.

The young man was in possession of multiple identifications, change purses, a flashlight and other items that appeared to be taken from vehicles in the area. The 15 year old, from Brandon, was also identified as a suspect responsible for a theft from a Manitoba Liquor store in April and was also arrested for that offence.

Two staff members of a foster home on Cornwallis Crescent were assaulted over the weekend by a 17 year old girl. Police said they arrested and charged the 17 year old with two counts of assault. The girl threatened to continue to assault staff, police took her to Brandon Correctional where she was later released on a Promise to Appear.
